This is a CSS based layout. There are lots of options to fiddle around with in the wizard, which is both good and bad because it is kind of overwhelming. The components in the sidebar can be added, removed, and reordered as needed. One of the more interesting things about this layout is the sidebar. There is an option to remove the sidebar in the ( Read more... )

Damn, any theme that has a C&H reference gets my vote! (yes, I'm shallow like that)

It would be perfect if it had a link to previous entries at the bottom of the page. I hate having to go back to the top to click on the next 20 previous entries when I'm reading a pile of friends' journals.

The style does have a link to previous entries at the bottom. My recent entries page doesn't have that though, because there are less than 20 public entries. But if there were more than 20, the link would be there. (I hate having to scroll back up too) You should be able to see it on the friends page.

I really like this style, except I'm noticing a bit of a bug. Hmm, having tested it in Firefox as well as Opera, I'm thinking that perhaps it's intentional, or maybe just overlooked everywhere. In both the mini calendar and the main calendar, the days with entries are out of line with the empty days. That's the only thing that would bug me about this style (along with maybe the date being lowered a bit, especially since the userpics are now on the right).

I need to go through and save all of the styles that I like, in case they don't win and are taken down! I'm completely hopeless with S2, so it will be really nice to have the option to use many nice styles in the future.

Ahhh... I noticed that thing with the calendar, but I forgot to fix it, so you're right, that was a bug. I fixed it now.

I'm not sure what you mean by the date being lowered though.

Hmm.. I just realized maybe I shouldn't be changing things in the middle of the voting..

Hey there, I'm not sure if you did save the style or not, but I wanted to let you know that I've updated the style. I fixed some bugs and added some new stuff. :)

When you post an image that is somewhat large, it busts out of the entry box and looks kinda ugly. The other styles seem to expand when that is the case. Dunno if that's easy to fix or not :-S.

Here's what I mean.

It's fixable, I think. I got it so that if there is a large image or whatever, there will be a scrollbox so it won't overlap onto the sidebar. I haven't updated the code though, because I'm not sure if I'm allowed to change anything while there's a contest going on. :) In the meantime, I think the best thing for you to do is to go to the Customize Journal, hit the "Edit Customizations" button, and where it says "Page width, as a percentage" set the number to 90. That'll make the entire layout wider.

Yeah, thanks, that helps a little.

I don't think it would make a huge diff if you tinkered with your style (as long as it basically remained the same)... most people just give it a 20 second look over before they vote I figure. I wouldn't want you to get disqualified or anything though :-S.

Either way, keep up the good work, lookin forward to post contest tinkerings at least :-).
