Each translation team consists of one or more individuals who serve as the language translators, who are responsible for handling their language's translation in accordance with the policies and procedures of their team. All translators should join and watch their translation's language community, as well as
lj_translate; important information regarding the translation effort is often posted to these locations.
Because each language is managed differently, it is not possible to specifically list all of the responsibilities of a translator. You should check with the translation head for specific policies and procedures for the language you are working on. The translation head will also assign you the appropriate privileges in order to use
the translation system. If you do not have these privileges, you can still use the
translation utility to allow you to contribute to your team's translations.
Translators are also welcome to join the #lj_translate irc channel. You can find it at #lj_translate on irc.zhzh.org. If you don't have an irc client, you can use
http://www.zhzh.org/connect/ to join using the web interface. It's not mandatory to join this channel, but it can be used to meet with your fellow translators to discuss your efforts.
If you have any questions about your team's translation, you should talk to the head of your translation; they are the maintainers of your lj_language community. If you have any problems with the language translation head, or if you have other questions pertaining to translation work, feel free to email the translation coordinators.
