Do you have any plans to add a feature that would download all userpics and especially all inline images for archiving as well? LJArchive doesn't do this and LJSM is broken.

Yeah, it does download comments. After you download it and enter your username and password, click "Download Comments" on the first page.

still unable to down load comments

I'm still getting Login failed,possibly incorrect username/passsword when I try and down load any comments, yet to down loads all the entries with the same password and user name.

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm having problems with your program - when I try to dload my backup, I get the message

'Error Downloading LiveJournalEntry! "Data sent from LJ was corrupt."'

What I did was install the prog, enter my username and pw and hit first the Save and then the Download LiveJournal Entries button. Anything I've overlooked? Or could the problem lie with my username? (which is t-eyla, while it always displays as t_eyla). I tried it from several computers and two different networks - always got the same error message though.

Also, is there a way to back up comms?

Hmm. This is a known problem, which I've been meaning to get off my arse and fix for a while now, and now that I actually have some free time I will do - I want to completely rewrite LJBackup in the next few weeks. Watch this space.

I'm pretty sure I know what it is, but could you E-mail me the StatusData file for me to check? It's called something like "C:\Program Files\LiveJournal Backup\LJ\t-eyla\drmStatusData.ini" and you can send it to Orona{-at-}ufuria{-dot-}org and I'll have a look at it. It doesn't contain any user-specific stuff like passwords or anything like that.

Heh. Thanks for your quick reply, first of all :). I think my problem just evaporated, though ^^. I didn't have any status data in the prog folder because I'd deleted the failed downloads in the Manage page. So I started the download again - and it worked this time. No idea what changed.

I found some status data on this computer (which is one of the other computers I tried the download on), though. Do you still want me to email the file to you, for research/comparision/whatever purposes?

Don't worry about it, I have a pretty good idea what the problem is - Like I said, I just need to de-lazy for a few days or so to re-write it.
