Ficus Religiosa?

So. I'm back. Sorry ;D

I think I'll probably start with a plain old potted fig from a garden centre, if I can. Seems like a good compromise between what I wanted/can afford, and what people have recommended.

But... I just found out that I can grow Ficus Religiosa as bonsai, which would be very special for me. I've wanted to see one of those ( Read more... )

Well I really wanted you to really look at how the trees were started and how old they are. There is one tree started 30 years ago and is now worth $25000.00!!! Ficus develop very fast and can propogated in various ways.

I once tried growing ficus from seed. I don't know if this goes for all species, but the seeds are TINY...damn near spores. Real pain. Needless to say, I did not succeed.
