Root Canker?

Hello- I've had a Chinese Elm for a few months now, and seems to have been flourishing. There was some mildew and tiny bugs when I first got it, but I used the fungicide/herbicide spray and that seems to have helped it ( Read more... )

Personally, I wouldn't worry about the moss. From what I've read, that really seems to be just for presentation only. Unless it's the soil, in which it might be used to help hold in the moisture. You'd only need to pay a bit more attention to the watering if that's the case.

I just got a packet of moss spores, but I haven't used it because the damn squirrels outside keep eating it. It certainly adds to the beauty of the tree, but not if it keeps getting eaten.

Also - your rat icon is tops. Does he/she have a name?

Awww, we have an albino rat who we called Kaja. She's a total fatty, so she's now named Kaja Fatty Ratkins. She only loves us because we give her delicious food.
