hi, I need help.  I got a bonsai as a gift, and I know NOTHING about them.  I looked at some photos, trying to determine exactly what kind of bonsai it is, but, i'm not having much luck.  If someone would be willing to help me out, it would be greatly appreciated!  Also some help on what I have to do for the little guy.

It is similar to a Murraya.

I can't tell from the picture exactly what kind of soil that tree is in, but it looks like it might be regular potting soil? I've found that my bonsai trees do terrible in this, especially the ones I've had to keep indoors. You might want to investigate that a bit (I can give you some pointers if you need them). Moving them into a bonsai soil mix will do wonders.
