Hello, everyone. I have a question for all of you that would be willing to answer. When you all meditate, how do you keep from falling asleep? Apparently my body has decided that any time my mind is clear its time for me to sleep so I was trying to figure out how I could avoid falling asleep when I try to meditate. Any suggestions would be

Otherwise, there are other kinds of meditation. Try taking a walk, with the same kind of mind clearing emphasis. Then once your mind is trained into it you can try going deeper.

where do you meditate? maybe you associate sleep with that place. i know that when i don't want to fall asleep during meditation i have to sit in a chair instead of lying down or do a moving meditation like an "earth walk" type of thing.
do you do more purposeful meditations or do you just empty your mind and let your thoughts float by? maybe if you tried guided meditations. it sounds silly to do by yourself but i have a little tape recorder that i picked up at the drugstore and i make them for myself, so that can be a really simple and easy way to keep yourself focused enough you don't just drift off to sleep. or like i mentioned earlier, moving meditations like take a walk outside and try to connect with the season or nature or whatever.
