Aw. Sounds like you just need to take a breather. You're just worn out. I think it would be best to ease into spirituality -- for now, start out with making a conscious effort every day to take a few minutes for yourself. Whether that means taking a walk, knitting a few rows, or really enjoying a good bath. The spiritual will come.

Look at the bright side -- you can look at your spirituality in a new light. Maybe you needed to take some time away from the ways you are used to do things because it is time to try new things. Sometimes we have to go through a winter before we can invite anything new into our lives. :)

All the best. I know the feeling, I know it sucks, but inevitably it will get better.

it helps, thanks.

in addition to taking time for myself to enjoy everyday, i guess i should maybe try to get back in that habit of meditating a little every night.

my prefered environment for that is quiet with a bit of incense. i don't know how i'm gonna block out the city sounds, i sometimes feel like they are taking over my brain. i know it sounds weird but they seem louder to me than anything else. it's something i don't seem able to get used to, it's been 3 full months and they aren't just background noise to me. it's an invasion of my home.

I find relaxing music often helps, especially when coming through a good set of stereo headphones.

If you have an altar or a shrine, take time out to tend it. Take everything off, wipe the dust off or clean off the candle wax or just hold it for a moment. Take off the altar cloth, shake it out. Then put things back. It seems like a simple chore but it's actually quite a spiritual exercise, I find. It needn't take you long and it can be quite meditative.

that's a nice idea. i will have to do that. i do wipe down the dust but maybe it would be helpful to take the time to do more.

i've always enjoyed baths and ritual baths are extra nice.

i really like the idea of the candle in the water with the flower petals floating around. it sounds so beautiful.
