Hello all! I just saw a marvellous video about separation of church and state that I found moving, inspiring, and thought-provoking. So I figured, maybe you guys would like to see it. We might get some good conversations going on our thoughts on the video and the issues.

Now, I am not an American. But I follow your religious news with some interest

I enjoyed this piece a great deal. We seriously need more people like those two. Serious Christians who support religious diversity. Like you said, I think Christianity gets painted in a bad light (especially in younger crowds) because of the fundamentalists, and others who wish to impose their will on others.

I will be sharing this video with many others. :)

ummm, guys, who is this patrick stewart?

the only patrick stewart i know of is the "captain jean luc picard" one.

Heh, I know! That's the first thing I thought of when I saw his name too ;)

This one was in the U.S. air force or something. When he died, his widow wanted to get the pentacle on his headstone, but the V.A. said that it wasn't one of the approved symbols. She looked into it, and apparently there were Wiccans who had been trying to get the symbol approved for YEARS but hadn't had any luck. She decided to go public, and last year she won. The pentacle is now on the list of approved symbols for headstones.

i did hear about that but i must not have gotten the first name. i am sure i would have remembered if just for the fact i knew the of the other patrick stewart.
