GO HERE -- "Zeitgeist" the movie.
Watch it (the first one, not Addendum) when you have time. Part 1 is extremely interesting and cool to me. I don't think I take the message exactly how the filmmaker intended, but it certainly changes my perspective.
Part 1 and 2 and Addendum have less interest to pagans, but quite a bit of interest to human beings

Your patron? How do you mean?

My patron is Horus, and if I remember correctly, they use him as an example as one of the many gods Jesus is very similar to.

My theory is that it's a study in irony, as the main thesis of the movie seems to be "people are stupid sheep and should research stuff before believing it", and yet 80% of the people who like the movie are stupid sheep who believe the movie utterly without doing any independent research.
MMM THAT'S SOME GOOD IRONY.
However, if it ISN'T attempting intentionally to be ironic in that way, then I have no respect for it at all.
Forgive me. I've run into too many people whose idea of an argument is "watch this movie lol".

I can assure you, I'm a research whore so I'll be tackling these subjects pretty intensely. And I am TOTALLY with you on the concept of irony. What I *do* appreciate about the film is that it has something specific to say, offers a different perspective, and does make one think.
I'm disappointed that you find it to be poorly researched, and so I'm curious as to what I'll find on my own. (If you're wondering why I haven't found anything out yet, it's because I'm only home with time to sleep during the week, what with a full time job AND school full time.) The thing is, he obviously has a very strong point to make, and he should understand that if he wants to make that point effectively he should present an airtight case.
I don't appreciate the emotional language. Tends to strike me as misleading. But we shall see!
Thanks for your POV. :)

And I agree with you on both What the Bleep? and on making you think. It's a different perspective, which I ALWAYS appreciate.
