gothiclolita16 (she deleted her journal) used to post a lot.  she lived in seattle and was an escort who specialized in the "girlfriend experience."

her death was reported here.

her myspace profile (last updated in 2005) mentions her livejournal by name.

here is an essay she wrote on sex work (posted in her brother's myspace blog).

I remeber gothiclolita16, did not know of her passing. sad to hear, had an account years ago and found her interesting. Came back to LJ and actually tried to look her up to see how she was doing.
does anyone know how she passed? I feel like prob. drug overdose and guess it doesn't matter, but felt like I really knew her ... RIP

I am her older brother. She passed from what I believe is called "acute alcoholic hepatitis". It's basically drinking yourself to death. She died peacefully.

i knew brittany in seattle in the 2003 - 2005 period, we exchanged emails briefly in 2007, promising to stay in touch etc.

she sounded like she was getting things together... i am stunned and at a loss for words... she is a sweet heart, and the word is less knowing she is no longer in it.

I came across this site last night. I'm Brrittany's, mother. She has been gone for close to six years now, and it's very possible that no one will see what I post since so much time has passed. I won't get into the details of that period of time. However, I want to say that it's taken me this long to start digging around on the web trying to locate whatever I could, in terms of what she wrote. I discovered a couple of articles that not only was I impressed by, but that I could genuinely understand. I miss my daughter. Not a day passes that I don't think of her.

hello brittany's mother.

your daughter was a great writer and she came across as having a great heart.

i hope you and your family are doing well and have found a measure of peace. 6 years doesn't even seem like a long time when you're mourning a loved one, but in time it gets a little easier.
