Not sure how many people are interested to see applications of the lj foaf data, but here's a project of mine in case anyone's interested: a LiveJournal social network browser. The basic idea is that you load one user's extended network (a VERY slow process the first time), and then you click and hover around exploring the interconnections amongst ( Read more... )

Is this the one you presented in Galway last week? I know that someone else was doing something similar to this, but never looked into it for lack of time.

I had wanted to go to that FOAF workshop, but alas, I was not there (I just started work in CA, couldn't go). I'd love to know what the project you're remembering is, though.

maybe a Pause/Resume function would make it more practical ^^

It actually sorta does it already - when you close the app and reopen it, it won't have to re-download the users it's already gone through. It still has to parse them, so it's not an instantaneous start-back, but it's a whole lot better than nothing.
