My name is Katie, I'm 34 years old, and I live in Philadelphia with my girlfriend of 14 years. I'm a professional writer and I love to read, so there's lots of literary talk in my journal. Other interests of mine include cooking and baking, gardening, hiking, etc... A lot of my posts include photos. I'm not a world champion at commenting, but I do make an effort.
My journal is mostly friends-only at the moment, but if you're interested I'll be happy to add you so you can check it out--I promise I won't be hurt or offended if it's not your style.
If there's anything else you'd like to know, just ask!

I'm Tess. I'm 25, currently working with students with special needs (anywhere from mild to severe). I used to work as a cook; I have a dual degree in Psychology and Spanish and if everything lines up will start my masters in social work in the fall. I love travel (when I have the money), food, reading (when I have the time), general media consumption. I haven't been posting much lately, but work will slow down a lot in the next week. Any questions, I'd love to answer! :)

I'm Emma, and my birthday is in two and a half hours! so I'm saying 28. I've been married for almost five years, together for almost twelve. Captain Baby is almost 19 months. I'm a SAHM, although I work (very very) part-time in the nursery at church.
I'm a feminist, progressive, liberal, attached parent type. Oh annnnd we live in Columbus, Ohio.

I'm Robina, 33, NYC home (really "un" for now) schooling mama on my way to becoming a midwife (year 1 out of 3 on the part-time track at my school). In a past life I was an academic and taught/studied African American literature, American culture, and women and gender studies. I'm a feminist, progressive type. I'm into all the stuff we Americans consider AP -- cosleeping, nursing, babywearing, EC, etc -- that my Pakistani family just considers normal childrearing. :) I consider myself a "mindful" parent more than anything else. I grew up here in NYC and in Pakistan both.
I like traveling, cooking, learning, reading, and people who laugh a lot. I love LJ and being able to see how people spend their day-to-days (which is mostly the function of mine: to chronicle the day-to-day). Be forewarned I just gave birth to baby #3 so I'm not currently journaling or commenting as much as usual but normally I'm quite an active LJ-er.

I think I tried friending you once a long time ago but maybe you weren't looking for new friends at that time. But if you're interested feel free to add me now! I'm sure our friends in common will vouch for me. ;)
