Hi, just joined this community. About to ask a question you've probably been asked a hundred times before...but...

If you had the choice, like Neo, would you take the red pill? Or the blue pill?
I know i'd like to give the near orgy like party they had in Zion a try! hehe.
(btw, anyone know if it was Zion? or Xion?)

Definately the Red Pill. "The Matrix" actually helped me get through an emotionally rough time, when I found out the big, horrible secret in my mom's family, so the film has a lot of personal, emotional resonance for me. ...In fact, finding out what really was going on in my mom's family was every bit as horrible and shocking to me as waking up in the Power Plant for someone being unplugged from the Matrix....

And it's spelled Zion with a Z.

Only because i'd have loved to have been at THAT party though! Lol!
Yeah, i know what you mean about throwing yourself into other things at emotional times. It's kinda our way of escaping i suppose. *hug* hope things are better. :-)

In fact, it may not matter at all.

If you take the blue pill, your memory is erased and you have no knowledge of anything outside the Matrix, so you are no worse off than before.

If you take the red pill, you stand an even chance of surviving (not everyone can adapt) even though your food will look like snot and like will be much plainer.

Now what pill would I take? It'd be interesting to see if there were a 3rd pill (maybe purple), maybe available from the Merovingian. But what would he want in return?

Taking the blue pill doesn't erase your memory. It just puts you to sleep, at which point the person who gave it to you would usually have you taken (or possibly hacked?) back into your home.

Hmmm, I was probably thinking of Cypher, who wanted his memory erased. You're right - the transcript I have says:

However, I'd be willing to bet that no actual transport is involved, just a "reset" of location.
