bookwormprinces asked for Tony helping Abby in the lab and failing miserably.
Er, this turned into more of a double drabble...
Meeting Bill
“Abby!” Tony greeted her exuberantly. “Abs! Abster…Abby Cadabby…”
“What’d you do now, Tony?” Abby replied without even turning around.
Tony grimaced. “Spilled Gibbs’ coffee -”
“ - not the first time -”
“- on McGee’s laptop -”
“- he’s got backups of his backups -”
“- which was sitting on Ziva’s desk.”
“You’re dead.”
“I figured I’d just, y’know, let them cool off for a little while…”
“Tony,” Abby admonished, finally facing her guest, “I’ve told you before, you can’t use my lab as an escape from your problems.”
“I brought Caf-Pow?” he offered, presenting her with the large drink.
“Good,” she nodded, sipping, “but not good enough.”
“I…can help you out in here?”
Abby considered him for a moment. “Okay. But don’t break anything. Major Mass Spec is very sensitive about his comrades.” Tony saluted the machine in the corner smartly. “That’s Bill, the gas chromatograph, but good try. Here, pop these samples into that drawer and push the big green button.”
Tony did as he was told, remarking as he pushed the button, “This isn’t so hard.”
Bill promptly exploded.
