i only said flogging molly because i heard that was one of the possible choices.

hip hop isn't EXCITING. it's not something to make people really wanna get up and move around. stand there and fucking bob around, woo, yay, awesome.

and fine, great, fantastic-- it's got a wide appeal, but i've heard so many people actually LISTEN to punk rock or any type of rock and say, wow i really like this, i wish i had heard about it before but they don't play it on the radio! people might like the stuff if they heard it, but they just don't hear it that much. besides, not a ton of people know who talib or rahzel are, either.

at least i sort of like rahzel. he's actually really talented. i am just NOT excited.

I could have been excited by a rock band, but Talib is amazing live. It'll be entertaining, not bullshit 50cent "I'm a gangsta" rap. I'm kinda excited overall.

Yeah I saw Talib at Madison Square Garden a few years back and it was insane. Granted this is only outdoors at Plymouth, but I'm sure it will still be amazing.

I'm just disappointed by all the bands. At the revealing, everyone around me was like "Who?" I wish the Spring Fling would ask the student body what we wanted. Give us a list of people in our price range..and then have us vote who we wanted.

Rahzel has come to Plymouth before and put on one hell of a show which I believe was sold out so him coming back was a given.

yeah, i saw that today. they rolled down the posters and it was just kinda quiet. people looking at each other and being like "do you know who that is?" one guy got excited. haha.

they did last year, they had a survey online asking people what bands they might like to see.

apparently, they had a really long list of bands they were trying to get and either they all couldn't work something out or were too expensive. could've been too late in planning too. they should start getting a band for next year, like, now.

i think next year i'm gonna try to get on the committee.

I said the same thing after the annoucement...how I think I'm going to try to get on the committee, esp since it'll be my last year, I want to actually enjoy the spring fling concert

im a straight up punker but tru hip hop folk like talib and mos def definately bring bang for the buck and destroy anything they play. if only psu got blackstar instead of just talib
