I know I don't comment enough, but this fic is superb. I think it's great. The Lois Lane you've created is excellent. Someone I can actually see as a match for Clark and as a girl worthy of the iconic name and status (that's hard for me to admit as a die-hard Chlarker). The Lex you've created is as manipulative as ever, even if he has managed to become Zod's victim this time around. The Els are awesome and I can totally picture Jor and Zor as the Winchester brothers. One of my favorite chapters so far as been Zor's perspective on things. Lara continues to be a delight, especially with her slight coniving (if not even admitted to herself) to try and get her Kal back and her pride over her spaceship was great. This chapter continued the excellent work. I love a good Clark mope and it was nice to see that one freak out and session of advice from Chloe and from Lois respectively won't just disappear four years of Issues. The description of the chapter where he realizes that he can even feel the air that Chloe's steps displace was a nice

I can't get the Brothers El = Brothers Winchester image out of my head. It's a crack!fic waiting to happen, and I'm happy to see that someone else can see it, too!
The whole Clark freaking out/has Issues bit is something that I'm trying to be very careful about. There are only so many times in a day he can freak out, but it *does* have to happen from time-to-time. The guy has Serious Issues, especially when it comes to Jor-El and the ship, and I'm trying to address them as realistically as possible with freak-outs of varying proportions, while giving him the opportunity to deal with the issues and admitting that it's not entirely Jor-El's fault, or his own fault, that things have sometimes gone badly these last four years. Having Clark show an interest in Jor-El and Lara, and Krypton, and so on, as you pointed out was an attempt to get him recognizing these things and starting to move on. His interactions with Lara in Part 19 are also
