The theme of the camp was love. And how how love is the key to everything. On the first night they talked about how the most important commandment is love God and love people. Which most would know. But then the way to love God is to love people. Therefore the most important thing it to love people. More important than anything else in the whole

i love hearing you and laura talk about riverview and its awesomeness. iIf it's okay, i think i'll just live vicariously through you guys for a little while.

The love attack thing isn't a riverview thing. I think it's a church thing, like the church. And it's easy! All you have to do is think of something nice to do for someone to show love and then do it!
It's like a revolution of love and it's bigger than any one church. It's going to change the city. So do it! It's the best thing ever.

no, i get that about love attacks being for everyone in general.

living vicariously...hm.... how to describe. okay, um, a father wo had dreams of being a sports star but never made it may live "vicariously" through his sportstar son/daughter. It's basically, living through another person's achievements and experiences because of a lack of them for yourself.

So, Basically I'm saying I'm superjealous of your wickedcool church.

Yay! I learned a new word.
I put all the cool things that happened on camp down to us putting the focus on loving people. So what I'm saying is that I think if you put the focus on loving people then you would have similar wickedcool things happen.

Owen, that has to be one of the best lj entries EVER! Maybe cos I was on the camp and I agree with everything you said. Especially that bit about how it's hard to be inspired when people talk about 'converting the city' but 'loving the world' is so much more meaningful. Loving people is more important than trying to 'convert' people. (I hate that word)
