Crashes every time I try to Bulk Replace in Journal Subject with no text entered. Very unstable and sometimes fails to connect.

Win 7
Crash log for bulk replace is here: http://goo.gl/GPy9z

Which is a shame because this tool is exactly what I need.

What phrase did you use to find / replace?

I'm using Regex to do the find and replace but currently I'm not making the search string "safe for regex". Therefore certain punctuation characters ([], $, .) may trip up the find replace unless you add a backslash before them.

If this is the case, what I can do is add these backslashes automatically by default, and then add a switch that will allow people to enter in Regex in case a more complicated find / replace is desired.

Question.. softyheartpinay August 13 2011, 16:36:02 UTC
Does this help export posts from livejournal? I am looking for a program or some tool to help me export or save my posts to xml file

Not in the way you are looking for (the format of the journal file is XML, but it's custom). LJArchive is the tool I would use for that.

I'm getting the same error as others have about 'SYNCHRONIZATION FAILED! Network timeout or no connection!'

I tried running it in Admin mode and no dice. I have like the others -- Windows 7, 64 bit.

The mystery error. :( I've heard that uninstalling and reinstalling may help with this.

Tried that -- didn't work either :(

Here is the weird part -- it will show my communities but it won't sync my personal journal. Is there a reason for that?

I wonder if something internal to LJ is messing up the API calls here. That's odd.

Does tools like LJArchive work for your journal?
