One problem I have is the tab order. For example, when I have my cursor in the subject field and hit Tab, it goes to "Picture to Use". I'm using 1.4.3.1. Will this be addressed in an upcoming release? It seems more natural to go from the Subject to the Main window, at least, IMO.
Other than that, I *love* Semagic. It's a wonderful client!

it is better for all shortcuts to work in the history item window, but anyway i hope you know that you can edit it in the main window and even set always open in main window. read help for options/advanced

I toggled "Always edit in main window" and it made no difference. It still pasted into the History Item window which is wrong. It should paste into the Internet Address field.
If the focus is in a certain field, then all editing actions should apply to that field. That includes typing, deleting, backspacing, cutting, copying, pasting, undoing and redoing and anything else I've missed. Editing should not apply to anything else.
I downloaded the latest version of the client yesterday (today?) and since then, eveytime I click on the spellcheck icon it crashes. I tried the shortcut indicated (alt+F7) but it makes it crash also. I also checked to see if the settings were still the same (I use ms-word to spellcheck) and they are.
thanks for pointing at this. for some (unknown to me) reason i disabled spellchecking in ms word in the latest release. i guess noone use word for spellcheking and did notice that. use this: http://semagic.sourceforge.net/Semagicfor2k.exe

- copy a URL from a browser into your buffer
- hit CTRL-L to edit the last entry
- select one word
- hit CTRL-M to bring up the Make Link/Image dialogue
- make sure the cursor focus is in the "Link to: // Internet Address (URL)" field
- paste URL from buffer
Result: the control is still on the Edit window and the URL gets pasted into the Edit window instead of the dialogue.Typing text will get entered into the Make Link/Image dialogue, as expected.
Just in case: Win2K, Service Pack 2, AMD Athlon, 261M RAM.
