It's come to my attention that some people think I don't use LiveJournal anymore, mainly because I update my own journal once a month. However, I'm still as addicted as ever and check my friends page several times a day. So no worries. I just never update ( Read more... )

It was pretty much my goal as a kid to get on the show. Sadly, I didn't succeed.
Where In Time was kind of bad though. I always prefered Where In The World. You?

I think the premis was that she would go back in time and steal stuff? Or maybe change world events? I can't remember. It was weird because the door would open while they were time travelling and someone famous would give them clues. Then at the end the person had to go through a timed maze, answering questions in order to catch Carmen. It was trippy. Was it just me, or was the lady in charge, officer type person, the mom from Family Matters? Or am I imagining stuff that wasn't there, hahaha.

Why? Did the story scare you as a kid or something?

My question is, where were their parents during all of this? Those children were so rude. You don't eat other people's houses, nor do you throw the owners in an oven! I blame the parents, obviously they never taught them manners.

You should come to Peru with me next summer! I really want to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. I think I'd be volunteering in some of the orphanages there as well. And it would be so perfect if you came along because you'd know the language! Think about it.

Who cares if subjects mix? You should see the looks I get when I tell people I'm majoring in Neuroscience and International Development Studies.

I love that song.

Ohhhh, Peru! That sounds like a lot of fun actually. Are you going by yourself or with an organization? I'm really interested actually. Make sure to give me all the deets.

I'm jealous of your IDS degree. I wish we had something like that here, alas we only have a course. I'm thinking about taking it though.

And just incase you've missed it "steady, as she goes" has been my personal message for the past couple of days. I love that song.

I also enjoyed Carmen Sandiego. Where in the world...not so much Where In Time. And the old computer game...classic.

Also, what's with the Goo Goo Dolls reference?

I've been listening to old school Goo Goo Dolls for the past little while. Slide, Black Balloon, Iris, Broadway, Name, they're such great 90's songs. Did you know that Slide is about a girl wrestling with the decision to have an abortion? Well now you do, haha.

Where In The World was always the best. Although at the end of Where In Time I was always on my seat as to whether or not the contestant was going to win or not.

Carmen Sandiego, along side several other shows, were the shit. Kids shows today just don't come close to what we had.

Ps, we should road trip out to Hali some time.
