The early- to mid-nineties was an unprecedented-ly wonderful time for music. And music videos. Especially music videos.

the first thing that popped into my head was the presidents of the united states of america's video for "peaches" with all the ninjas at the end.

That is precisely what I'm talking about.

One of my personal favorite early-nineties videos was No Rain by Blind Melon.

Overweight girls wearing bee costumes is like a page out of the book of my life, but in the video we don't all get naked.

I think they had that very bee-girl on one of the Where Are They Now?-type shows on VH1. She looks like someone who'd work at a Dairy Queen.

My personal favorite mid-90s video was the one for "Tonight, Tonight" by the Smashing Pumpkins. I also like Pearl Jam's "Jeremy" video now, but I couldn't watch it when I was younger because it scared me. I thought Matthew Atwood, the boy in my 4th grade class who sniffed glue, was going to come in and shoot himself in front of us like Jeremy did.
