I need a story.

My brother and I were in the same kindergarten class, but when it came to elementary school, we were always split up. There were several times when I was intensely jealous of my brother because his class did some project that was way cooler than whatever my class was doing. One of these was from first or second grade where he painted a picture of ( Read more... )

Mine would have four squares.

1. "Okay, I drew it. Where's the bottle and cork?" [Dragon fabric]
2. [Treasure map fabric, with a mis-spelled wonky addition reading "Gud tresures for plump adventurs!!!".]
3. [Viking on the sea.]
4a. "Look! He even brought his own cutlery." (Dragon fabric, with a Viking cut out and stitched on.)
or
4b. "Next time we say 'p.s. No axes pleze'."

Depending on how much you like Vikings :-)

this line made me lol for real: "We were warned about the sea serpents, but the dragons were a surprise."

That's the line that's been stuck in my head the most. It's not the most amusing story ever, but I like how it feels a bit like a story I might invent for you.

There's also a border print that's a line of just vikings. I didn't buy it, but it was so very tempting. How did looting and pillaging Vikings turn so cuts?

I'm pretty sure I want a huge, froufy ballgown made entirely out of that viking/serpent fabric. With a ten-foot long train. And matching opera gloves. SO awesome. :)

I had such a hard time only buying a half-yard of the vikings. As soon as I saw the fabric line, I put yards and yards all of all the prints and variations in my online shopping cart. It's just so cute. But I only have the one nephew and he already has a grandma making him a lifetime's supply of quilts, so I really could justify the purchase. *SIGH*

But that means it's super important that I save at least a square for me and do something extra special with it.

If I knew how to make ballgowns, I'd make you one with it. :DDD It would be so fun to see.
