clean up the fabric!

I spent five hours yesterday wrapping fabric around comic book boards to create 200 mini bolts. Then I ordered 100 more boards. Maybe 200 more would have been better, but I'm not buying more. That looks very neat. Also, from a distance it looks like you're a really dedicated diarist with a taste for colourful diaries.

But also, I need to keep the collection small and not be one of those sewing ladies who horde fabric in seriously disturbing ways.

It disturbs me, not them!

There are ladies, who don't even sew professionally, who like to show off their pictures of their roomful of fabric. In some cases, I just start to feel creeped out looking at them.

(But then, my mother freely admits that she has more fabric than she can use in the rest of her life and that I'm going to inherit it. And then I'll look like a horder, too.)

I like that it looks like a lot of diaries!

My boss said, "Can't you give your yarn to a friend?" And I thought: Sandy would really not appreciate that.

Then my boss said, "Or you could give it to Toni! Toni knits a lot." And I thought: Yeah, and quite a bit of the yarn that I'm never going to use came from Toni in the first place.

Yarn is dangerous like Tribbles.
