Do I have the power to fire people?

Or, alternately, kill them?

Hmm. I don't think you have the power to fire, though you do have the power to kill.

I think that makes an interesting statement on the nature of American life.

I'm sorry people are stupid, honey.

The doctor. He's randomly not coming in again tonight. He's been canceling a little more than half the time he's scheduled.

Wow, yeah, okay, that's fired. I think you should do the exam, just pretend like you're the doctor, no one will notice.

Seriously, does he have an excuse?

I can totally do the exam. "Which is clearer, this" *moves some lens thingies* "or this?"

Today, his wife's friend's mother died and he is going to the wake. He always calls the day of, usually around 2pm. (At least today he called in the morning...) I wish our regular doctor would decide that she hates staying home with her baby and come back to work.
