So Jamie posted the 30 Day Japan Meme, and hey, just had to do it. =D Most of my answers will be coming from a gaijin chick in a small town for two years since I'm juuust really starting to experience Tokyo life, so we'll see how this goes!

Taichi, Ken, me, and Yuuko at the 2009 Amanohashidate Kimono Matsuri. One of the best things about living in Yosano was the amount of traditional festivals that were open for me to participate in, from having friends to borrow from (the shoes I'm wearing belong to Yuuko's grandmother!) to helping carry the women's shrine in the town festival. Despite the loneliness and isolation, there were a lot of good times and good people. Yosano's nothing like Tokyo, and while I'm starting to like my anonymity here, I miss seeing my kids. I keep telling myself I need to come back and visit, and I need to make good on this.
