I'm with Steph. It is important, but I doubt you'll get deported (though it is serious stuff) - if governments can be slow enough to NOT process paperwork, they can be slow enough to drag people out of countries.

Since it is not on your terms, can you have the UK people send you documentation that they have your app. - at least that way you can defend yourself if they accuse you falsely of hanging out there for sake of it?

Totally agreed with the above. If our own country is any indication of how long these things take, you should be fine for awhile. Things always have a way of working out for the best. If, for whatever reason, you get sent home, I seriously doubt you and England are done. You'll get back there someway somehow. I don't think it will come to that though.

On a side note, the more you write about Rob, the more convinced I am that he is awesome for you. It's about time you had someone make your tea for you!

thanks guys:) yeah...i have documentation that they have recieved and are processing my application...it's just nervewracking...and I thought my student visa application was scary enough! If they do try and deport me I have two appeals so that's good...

It's just that the home office are notorious for being douches. Like, if some pissed off caseworker dosen't like my picture he'll say that I have glare on my glasses and thus my application is invalid...crap like that goes down, and I just want my passport back, ya know? love ya'll and thanks!
