I was writing all about it on here the day after I got back but three pages in and the program crashed on me. I was spitting poetry and prose =[ I ( Read more... )

I've got a long history working on computers, especially macs. My old boss at ACNS suggested working for Apple and then a friend working the "creative genius" position at the phoenix store convinced me and put in a word. I'm just doing it parttime, meeting people and getting gigs. I'm applying at CPB Miami, which is a sweet design firm for a junior position. You've got to follow all your leads, better to pick between two or three decent jobs then just sit on whatever you get handed.

and keep an eye out for growth potential. You won't go far in a firm with 4 employees, but working for a big corporation you can get promoted and change departments and pursue different routes. Of course there are benefits for small firms to, and working for yourself.

This Crispin place looks great. The website is a little on the bland side, but I love their commentary and they've got some big names in there.

I think, at this point, I'm keeping an eye out for anything I can get. Except freelance. I think the best place for a new graduate is working with other designers--be it 4 or 40.

I'm seriously thinking about Atlanta. Conrad insisted it was too corporate for me, but hell, if it has people like this-http://www.diamondloungecreative.com/-, it can't be all bad.

Cheers.
