I just biked from the Lower East Side up to the Met. about 100 blocks each way or (as google maps says) 12 miles roundtrip. Considering I've only had a bike for two days, never ridden in NYC traffic until yesterday let alone doing much biking at all since I was in middle school I'm pretty happy with myself.
