Okay, on one hand, I believe that our country is basically beyond repair regardless of who the president is. We will still be fundamentally sexist, capitalist, racist, etc. etc.

Yeah, I kind of agree with you, because the President can't fix those things. He can only set a good example, but he can't change people, they have to want to change.

Haha, well, it's true. No matter what Obama himself believes, the fact remains that what is necessary to fix our country and our world, what it takes to make it, I mean, on a basic level, environmentally sustainable is not palatable to pretty much anyone, myself included, apparently. So where can you go with that?
