Yes! Even though they have gone the way of the dinosaur everywhere else in the world (if they even existed in the first place), Japan was like "LOLZ we're gonna keep making them. It'll be awesome." and the rest of the world was like "....why?" and Japan was like "SHUT UP, BRANDING TIE-INS. CUE AWESOMENESS HAPPENING NOW." And lo... Kewpies are popular enough as a character to warrant entire stores full of naked ones in various sizes.
