Not to be a downer or anything, but the dramatic results were with caffeine and exercise combined. Most caffeine addicts tend to spend a lot of time on their behinds. All things in moderation (like the wine they mention in the article, of which you are only supposed to drink one glass per day).
Exercise helped and enhanced the effect, yes, but there were simply effects from the consumption of caffeine in general, and coffee in particular. And I didn't notice anywhere in there that they claimed there was an upper limit to the caffeine-effect. I would imagine that there is no upper limit to those particular health benefits (and such has been stated in a study prior to this one, also a long-term study), but the only real issue that crops up is when you start losing sleep because you're so caffeinated

The negative side effects of caffeine have been documented for a while now. That's why people talk about being too addicted. Almost everything on this planet can be bad for you if not taken in moderation. Caffeine is no exception
