My tale of woe... dress shopping

I had to buy a dress for my brother's wedding. I hate shopping for dresses (or clothes in general). Now, I like to go with other people when they're the ones trying things on, but when my turn comes, ugh! It took me four tries to find this dress. And I tried it on again today... and.it's.too.big

Here's a way to avoid the situation: don't go! (KIDDING Lorn and Gen!) Really, I would love to find and wear a dress to your lovely brother's wedding, even if it required four tires, but I can't. Boo on work and horses and obligations like that!
