A while back I renamed my blog, but I didn't get around to changing the look of it until this weekend. The layout is the same--I've just changed the color scheme.

Also, I blogged about our trip to Jenner and uploaded some pictures. Check it out! Tell me how you like the new look.

Cool!!! I am hereby officially jealous of your trip; it looks like it was very, very wonderfully cool. I'm glad you got to do it -- I think it must have been a substantial relief for you. You look happy, wine glass and all. ;)

I confess that I've gotten lazy about going over and checking there since I see you here. Gotta not let that happen -- you have interesting (if heart-wrenching) things to say there. (A young girl getting a dog's head sewn in place of her own? OMG. Hellmouth there indeed.)

Thanks! The trip was fun, but not without its aggravations, which I didn’t write about on the blog. I’m not surprised you don’t check there very often; the more interesting personal stuff is here on lj anyway

Don't sell yourself short -- there's personal interesting and there's world interesting, and you write both well. No, I'm just thoughtless, that's all there is to it! (It's why I keep trying to drag every soul I know onto LJ so I can read everyone in one place

I said something similar to Mike with regard to his summer in China. He said that even there he stuck to a few places he liked to shop and eat. He went back to those places again and again until he was a familiar face. I'm sure this had something to do with his communication limitations. Also, once he found something good on a menu he probably ordered the same thing over and over.
