Stunningly good, especially the violin. They make twisted music together.

He knows Jack’s got his head tipped back, breathing open-mouthed, eyes closed.

HOT.

He shoots himself, this time, just to find out what it’s like. There’s nothing. Nothing is a concept that both scares the shit out of him and draws him in. When he comes alive again, Jack’s sitting up, too, picking up his gun. “I got lonely,” he says with a grin.

“You’re worryingly co-dependent, you know,” he tells him. Jack just shrugs.

This is funny and creepy and even a little romantic, in a fucked up Sid-and-Nancy kind of way. Excellent fic. Thanks for sharing. :)

thank you kindly *beams*. This is my first time writing torchwood, and I haven't read that much fic, so I was just messing about in someone else's sandpit *g*- I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

That's probably a good thing. Every fandom tends to develop tropes, cliches, fanon etc and eventually a certain borg-like mentality about how the characters should be written. Your fic just felt so unlike 90% of what's on the comms right now, including probably my stuff, although at least I'm not a J/I shipper.

I'd almost encourage you NOT to immerse yourself in the fic to maintain that freshness.

Anyway, absolutely brilliant job and I can't wait to see what today's episode inspires.
