writer's meme, my amazing fic ideas *g*

1) Francesca and ray vecchio swop bodies while ray's on stakeout with fraser. Frannie finds she's in a car with fraser, and she's like 'ooooh, this is like my dream! Where I totally put the moves on him!' and then she leans over and kisses him. Then she realises she's kind of got a dick. And Fraser's kind of murmuring 'Ray- I hadn't dared to dream ( Read more... )

Somewhere, Ray Vecchio wakes up in a nightdress. There are shennanigans. Touching revelations! RayV with a vagina! \o/\o/\o/Seriously, it would be great!

it would be SO brilliant! and Ray would be all o.O b/c FRANNIE went where he'd been WANTING to and set it all up for him and and and - why has this not be WRITTEN?

also, I would pay CASH MONEY for that Rehab vid. JUST SAYING.

I don't *know!* and Frannie would find out it wasn't actually the dream, and be like 'what has he- I mean, uh, I, got that Francesca hasn't?' and Fraser would be saved from answering by RayV as frannie running into the carpark in her negligee. *taps foot and waits for someone to write it*

God, me too- I wish I could make them, but it confuses the hell out of me how people even *start*

Eep. Guess I'm the dissenting opinion, because #1 squicks the hell out of me. Frannie/Fraser always squicks me, and here doubly so because it's non-con (since I believe he would never consent if he knew it was her). Apparently I have boundaries. Huh. Go know.

Vecchio with girly bits, though... that could be a hoot. He would be so freaked out. *g*

Also: I like this writing meme. It's fascinating to get a look at the process. We're all so different in how we create. Coolness. :-)

that's really interesting- I suppose for the fact that Frannie's been asleep and woken up in a car with fraser makes her think it's a dream makes it...mistake con? It could just be a kiss and then Frannie finds out she's a guy- same effect, but not as non-con ish. Hmm. *pets your boundaries*

Hehe, I love how terrified he'd be *g*

I love the meme, too- I love learning how other people write, and what they find difficult, because it's always like 'oh, but you do that so well!'

I'm with Mal--*squick, squick, squick!* on the Frannie bodyswap fic. It's not because I can't see Fraser doing Frannie in the right circumstances, because I can, obviously (see Makeup). I think my problem with it is that in the scenario you suggest, Fraser thinks it is actually RayIf he knowingly has sex with Frannie, that's one thing. But if he has sex with Frannie because he thinks she is RayV? Then it's non-con. I'm not one of those who refuses to read non-con (anymore than I would refuse to read a cop story with a murder in it), but this is a "good" character abusing another character without his knowledge, and that hurts. I don't even think it's the sex that would bother me, but the intimacy. Fraser would not agree to allow Frannie to know him in this intimate way. He might actually perform a sex act with her if absolutely necessary, under the right circumstances, but the love/intimacy thing? Ouch, no, I can't see that, and I seriously do not want to ( ... )

Ah, yes, I should clarify: I don't think Fraser would consent to sex with Frannie under those circumstances (or, IMO, anything but extraordinary circumstances like those in your story), and he would most certainly neither feel or behave in the same way as he would with someone (e.g., Ray-of-choice) whom he loves and has been longing for.

Which for me, again, is what takes it over the line into non-con.

hmm- I do see what you mean- it's weird, because Frannie's gone to sleep and woken up in a car with Fraser, and thinks it's a dream because it's such a weird thing to happen. But it is still non-con- what if Frannie realised she was a guy and this wasn't a dream before it progressed beyond kissing?

And this is more one of my plot bunny tossouts- a 'wouldn't it be great if someone who wasn't me wrote this?'- I'm pretty cagey about what I'm actually writing usually.

Ooooh, Yay, RayK bodyswap *g* This'll be good.

God, I hope so. I've been working on it for going on two years, at this point, and people must be very tired of hearing about it and its not-done-ness. However, I'm aiming to have it out by next week.

The dream/not a dream idea for Frannie? Synchronicity, because the very beginning of the Girl-RayK story has exactly that happening. He wakes up as Rae, Fraser's wife, and doesn't realize it isn't a dream.

Of course, I think the big difference here is that in my story, Fraser does love RayK in this and all universes (that is one premise of the story), and he is Rae's exact counterpart, not a completely different person, like Frannie. You've read the first bookend story (by isiscolo) in this series, I take it? If not, it's here: Being Ray Kowalski

Also, when Ray does realize where he is, he won't hide the fact. But enough spoilers. :) Am working feverishly on it even now, and it's over 36,000 words.
