aww, I just love the thought of Sirius, who works on the airships, and Remus, who works in a photography studio which makes moving pictures. Magic is outlawed and magical creatures are institutionalised, but Remus escapes detection in the underground werewolves society. When he transforms, he goes into the labyrinth under the City, and runs with the other wolves. His rooms are in the tunnels.

Bandom in the Cold War! (Seriously - can't you just imagine the awesome? Height of the Cold War, the space race part of the deadly srs bizness of war, and all of the boys going "... fuck the Russians, I get to go to outer space!" Or possibly just Greta as an atomic spy and Gabe, the nuclear physicist who loved her. IDEK - I am just on a Cold War kick recently!)

hee! yes, that would be wonderful. Greta works at the department of misinformation, which kind of means she lies all the time. No one actually sees her working, but people say her name with a mixture of awe and fear. Some of the people in the non military departments seem to think she's a concert pianist, and have even heard her play, but then the economists swear blind that she trains with the kirov ballet and should be avoided at all cost.

Gabe calculates things. There's an abacus on his desk, a record player, and a single tapdancing shoe. He writes everything in code, even shopping lists and what type of cake he wants from the canteen. He even speaks in code with Ryland, when Ryland isn't pretending to be either British or Russian.

The Alexes and Ian were hired because they're easy to remember, but hard to tell apart. They've managed to blow quite a few things apart, so generally they take tea to people and hold rulers and weird equipment for patrick when he's going through a mad scientist period.

hee! Curtis would sit in the spaceship all day, watching the asteroid belts and planets. When he wanted a change of view, he'd turn the ship a little bit and then sit in the spaceship. Newbie sells things, in one of the little trading shuttles. Mainly, he sells empty tin cans and model trains he got when a convention of toy collectors had to evacuate in a hurry and the exhibitions were mistakenly sent out of the airlock. Hope does all the work on what is meant to be a lightship- controlling the signals and things. They keep having to find new mechanics, as they can't seem to get them to stay...

It isn't that she minds the responsibility, it's more that the refugee camps demanded so much of her- she could never relax; it wasn't the heat of battle but a relentless stream of logistics and skirmishes, of keeping people safe and peaceful

That's quite alright! it's a lovely pairing- so sweet and practical. Kel coming back to corus all capable and changed would be fantastic. I keep thinking that if she were injured, she could come back and teach the pages something, and temporarily live in corus again...
