Closing Time

Jan 12, 2014 03:24

For those keeping track at home, I've been in Santa Monica since the 18th November or so, training up at a new job. That's awful. That's just awful. I'm sorry to hear this. Obviously I don't know the details of your marriage, but I like you and am a vague sort of distant friend and I do not like to see my friends being made unhappy. That is all.

BTW I am now only checking in here to see if you and one other person ever post. Do let's stay in touch elsewhere, 'k? Because someday I really should tell you how you sort-of saved my life all those years ago...

A Nonny Mouse duplicate deleted. ;-]

I'm not sure why you follow me - perhaps because I don't post enough to annoy anyone? Thanks for the thoughts. And yes, it's a pretty shitty thing to have happen at any time.

I guess I have to say I wasn't expecting this, but in a way I'm not surprised.

Cards and hugs await your arrival on the 20th. We might even be able to find you a bed if you're lucky....

I have to admit there was a certain amount of seeing who was still watching this, and how much.

I've come to realise that life is never static, and sometimes that means people move in and out of it, and that's ok. Watch out for those feelings of failure, though. They can mess with your head.

Much love.

As you say, life is _never_ static. It's not always pain, as the movie has it, but it's still changing all the time.

I'm trying not to let the failure feelings stick, but it is, as you know, damned hard to get away from them. I'll keep an eye on them, and we'll see how things go.
