Will had taken Bran's advice and prepared some food in advance in order to avoid any tricks today, which means that dinner in his hut is a simple affair of sandwiches and fruit, with juice to drink, all made yesterday. It's safest that way

Bran had looked forward to spending Valentine's Day with Will and away from whatever madness was sure to go on in the compound this year, but the fire and the blanket and the picnic is still more than he'd expected, somehow. "This looks brilliant, cariad," he says as he approaches.

Will smiles up at him from his spot on the blanket, patting the empty place next to him. "Thought it would be nice to just have a little fireside picnic before we...er, retire for the night," he says, the fire all but masking the accompanying blush.

"It's perfect," Bran assures him, kissing him hello. With a faint blush he pulls a bright orchid out of his sleeve (it's a little squished that way, but hidden at least) and offers it to Will. "Here."

Will lights up and takes the flower. "Thank you," he says softly, throwing his arms round Bran's neck and kissing his cheek, whispering an I love you in his ear.
