i like your subtle reference to what i believe was, under sea, over stone? the books you tried to force me to read, so being the stubborn person i am, i never did.
in other news, i hear china is receiving lots of rain. i forget where i heard it, but i believe it is important for adventurers such as yourself to make sure you always have dry socks.
You're right, Julie, that book was called, 'Over Sea, Under Stone', which you most unfortunately chose not to read--you should go down to the library and find those books!--but it really doesn't have anything to do with the topic of this poem.
Southeastern China, specifically Guandong, Fujian, and Jiangxi provinces are receiving a lot of rain (as they usually do at this time of year) from various typhoons and whatnot, and have been receiving more of lately. Perhaps aggravated by global climate change?
Chongqing (although a bit rainy the last few days) hasn't been too bad, though. The summer heat is what I'm more worried about, with summer temperatures reaching well over 100 degrees Fahrenheit plus high humidity, most years.
i read the first one because you forced me. and because of the coercion and my young age, i couldn't appreciate them fully. i have thought about reading them this summer. i'm actually re-reading the Myth series, then going to try the geodessy Piers Anthony series, and I'm thinking about reading the Phule books. Oh, and some more Terry Pratchett, I believe discworld? I figure it's about time i went back and read all those books I refused to because you were trying to make me ;-P
