Damn tuna

Sep 27, 2005 20:59

I'm tired of eating tuna. Salad, and tuna. Why didn't I sign up for a meal plan this year?

I'm an idiot. AND I can't cook.

I need some good easy to follow recipes, anyone? Help is much needed :)

Some of my favs:
Homemade Meatballs:
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/3 cup bread crumbs(go with the generic...it always tastes better)
1 egg (beaten)
Mix all ingrediants and form into balls.
Brown in Olive Oil on stovetop...in a pan.
Place meatballs in a microwave dish and cover loosely with plastic wrap.
Cook for six minutes on medium power in microwave.

These taste really good, mainly because of the olive oil. I make a ton..use them with pasta and sandwiches. They go a long way.
Sorry if you are a vegatarian.
If you like this one I can post more. I have a whole book of my own recipies...good to have easy ones for the little one. :)

Okay...if you want to make easy chicken cutlets that taste yummy...just buy the chicken that comes with three or four breasts and cut them up into little pieces. Don't buy the kind that say "cutlets" because they are really too small. Beat up a few eggs...let the pieces soak in the egg batter for...30 minutes. Then coat them with bread crumbs(again..get the generic kind). I usually pour the crumbs into a bowl and do one at a time. Fry them in some kind if oil...I use the new kind that is all the good oils combined. I think it's called Mazola right blend...no carbs...less fats. Keep turning until they brown..if you aren't sure they are done...take one out and cut it in half...that's how I always check. Place them on a plate on a paper towel..and layer paper towels as you stack them. This gets all the oil off of them. My daughter eats these like they are candy...she loves them. You can make a ton of these in one hour...and use them for a meal...or sandwiches..or just a snack. They freeze well and do well in the fridge for ( ... )

What is really nice is to buy one of those dumb george forman grills. They work really, really well. Chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers, even vegetables... anything works well with a little grilling.

I eat a lot of grilled chicken ceasar salads :p
