Trying to be productive today. I'm working on getting all of my clearances together for the after school job. It's a pain- it's like $50 to do these things. Which sucks, because if you're trying to get a job (which is one of the things people need these for), you want more money, right? And dumping out money on clearances just sucks. Oh well

I'm going to be in Richmond that weekend -- so sad! I've done Hands on House two or three times and have always really enjoyed it -- the course is very close to where I grew up and the back roads serene and familiar. I would love to do Sloppy Cuckoo too as those Uber races are so fun! I will probably do their Oktoberfest half in October to prep for Philly. I bet it's the same weekend as MCM, though.

I feel like your kids would probably enjoy the Hands on House for the amount of time it would take you to run the race. Then you could go to an Amish smorgasboard afterward! :)

You rock for gutting out 18 miles in yesterday's sweltering heat. I was in Lancaster and set out for a 7 mile run around some of my favorite farms, but that quickly became a 4 mile run in my parents' subdivision instead as I was afraid to wander too far from home and AC. I hope you gave yourself a nice ice bath afterward.

I always looked forward to Amelia going back to school. Since we didn't have money for vacations, summers always sucked. She'd be so bored.
