So it's been years since I was last there and things may have changed, but I remember thinking Epcot very dull, compared to Animal Kingdom. Magic Kingdom is a definite must, though, but I guess it depends on what you want from your second day. The rides at Epcot, if they can be called rides, actually felt more like showcases for the sponsors, which I really disliked as a counter-culture 13 year old :)
I do have memories of my father liking Epcot, I think, but that may be because it was the only Disney park where you could actually get a beer without too much hassle last time we were there, or so the internet tells me. So take it with a pinch of salt. We'd also been to the World Fair in Seville in 1992, so the whole culture showcase was pretty unexciting to us.
As the books got longer, the movies seemed shorter and shorter to me. (And they're not necessarily short movies, are they?) Hope Toby recovers quickly from whatever it is! M.
