Got back today from a quick trip up to MD with the mom to visit my grandparents. Nice trip, but too short. A family friend died today after having a spinal cord injury last week. He was told that he would never have sensation or movement below his shoulders and he'd be on a ventilator and in a nursing home for the rest of his life. He decided ( Read more... )

oh wow, how horribly rough that is! i don't know what i would have been able to do with myself if mark had an accident so severe... it is because of moments like these when i am reminded of how worse he cuold have been that i am thankful he is still alive and happy, and for the most part, healthy

The visitation is Friday evening, so I don't think I'll be able to do anything. What days do you have off next week? I'm off Monday - Thursday.

I'm doing well. He was more my parents' friend, but he was a great man. Thanks for your concern!
