AMINALS

The kitties had check-ups today so we had to wrangle them into their carriers and get them to the vet. Things are looking pretty good with them. Lisa hasn't gained any weight, but she's pretty much holding steady from the last time they checked her, so that's good (and she's as fiesty as ever. We're all lucky she didn't need blood drawn today.) ( Read more... )

Haha, I would have Xena pegged as the warrior who fights tooth and nail at the vet (awesome name, btw). My cat goes feral at the vet, he's actually a little scary. Hopefully Xena's blood test results are good. Thyroid issues are manageable, but not fun.

Have fun at the zoo! I really should load the pictures from our last trip to the zoo onto my computer, Alex got some good ones.

XD Ironically Xena's actually a huge coward. I find bad for the vets and the technicians when the cats start behaving badly. I don't want anyone to get hurt X_x when they draw blood from my cat she lets out a blood-curdling shriek that we can hear all the way in the examining room.

Hopefully she's fine. Medicating her would be more difficult than medicating Lisa just because she's so skittish. But I actually understand that there's a gel form of this medicine that can be rubbed onto their ears. If she ever did get a thyroid problem and had trouble taking the pills, that'd be an option.

:D Thanks! The zoo is always fun!

My cats tremble when they go to the vet, poor things. I think they are pretty timid compared to most cats I've had. XD; They don't fight too much, and they don't struggle when they receive their shots. They just cry pathetically in the car on the way there, and are quite well-behaved on the way home, lol. They don't even like going outside the apartment when the door is wide open...timid indeed.

Aww! That's sad! My cats will cry on the way to the vet, too and rub their faces pathetically against the carrier door.

We're very lucky to have such a nice clinic close to us--it's for cats only so there aren't any dogs there to upset them even more.

I had to go to three different clinics before I found one I really liked...it's a moderate distance away. It's about ten minutes from my home. I'm glad you have a nice clinic...I think it makes a lot of difference.

I see that you have the same preference and fondness towards cats that a certain scythe-wielding person does.

Hope you enjoy yourself at the zoo. Granted, NOTHING is ever as fun when you have to bring a whining, constantly-questioning toddler along. And people say that all children are special...

Well, you know... CATS ARE NICE.

Children should not be allowed ANYWHERE.
