Well, I've gone to the first session of all the classes I'm signed up for this year and, while I know first impressions don't always turn out to be true... this could be a pretty good term (better than I thought at least). At least if the weather holds out and I don't get sick (difficult things to ask out of Winter term). The teachers seem likeable

thats good news! If I remember correctly, last year you didn't seem so hopeful. (I could be wrong though haha) It's good that so far you like your teachers and what nots. I wish it was nice out here for a walk, but were in pre-winter weather. :-( No more walks till after june for meeee.

Last year was tough and winter term was especially a pain (not to say I disliked all my classes or teachers, but there was a lot of work, a lot of cold, and a lot of sickness). Hopefully things go better this term.

It's actually been unseasonably mild here. I hope it stays that way.

Sounds very promising. I assume there are Buddhist texts in your class -- how about Shinto?

We will indeed be studying Buddhist texts. I don't think we're doing anything from Shintoism though.
