So, I'm just sitting here wrapping up the witching hour by thinking about horror movies. ...Which is probably a bad idea since I am highly suggestible and easy to sc WHAT WAS THAT SOUND?! ...Oh. Just the cat. ...Good.

Have you ever seen Christine? Or Hell Night starring Linda Blair? Or how about Halloween as a start off, or do you save that for closer to Halloween?

Christine is a Stephen King one, right? I think I recorded that at some point but then never got around to watching it. I haven't seen the others either, but I probably should.

You definitely need to see Halloween during the Halloween season!

Other recommendations would be Pet Sematary, Carrie and The Sentinel. The Sentinel may be harder to find though.

My all-time favorite horror/monster movie is "The Thing From Another World". (The 1951 version, none of your remakes.) It deals with a plant-based alien who, having no vital organs, is immune to bullets and wants to grow a world-conquering army. Maybe Filia could have a *serious* problem with her rose garden?

XD That sounds like it could be ripe for comedy! I just wonder if I can find it... I wish Netflix had a less craptastic streaming selection...

Oh Goodness! I don't really know much about horror movies... The only one out of your list I've seen was Poltergeist. However I do look forward to what ever you write for Halloween!

As someone that's watched quite a few horror movies, I'm looking forward to this. I vote for Rosemary's Baby. That one seems pretty rife with ideas--though my mind keeps popping up with the image of Xellossomehow pregnant and freaking out.

If you were thinking of doing something that involved another haunted house, I'd recommend the watching original rec/The Thing/Alien. Also, the movie V/H/S, if you can find it.

Rosemary's Baby is still where my mind is mostly heading. Though I have dealt with Filia being pregnant before, so it might get a little redundant. I'll have to rewatch the movie and see what material I can get from it.

I actually just rented The Thing on a horror-run tot he library! So maybe I'll get something out of it.
