Slayers Vectors

These look really awesome! Is making vectors easier in GIMP than Photoshop? I really liked doing vector art when we did our unit on Illustrator in my computer graphics class, but Illustrator is expensive and I really don't like doing extensive vector images in Photoshop. It's just not made for doing in-depth ones. I've never used GIMP though.

:D Thanks! I might be a bit biased on this because, to be honest, I never really figured out how to make the pen tool work for me in Photoshop. I've always fucking HATED it. With GIMP, there was some difficulty in learning it at first, but I found it wound up being muuuuch more user friendly and easy to use. I find that I like Photoshop better for graphics and color-editing and text and stuff, but I prefer GIMP for vectoring and drawing.

Hm, yeah. I'm good with the pen tool in Photoshop, it's just their user interface is not really meant for vector stuff. GIMP is free right?

Yup. And it's a pretty handy program especially for something that's free. I'm not the biggest expert on it, but I've seen people make some really awesome stuff with it. You should be able to get it here: http://www.gimp.org/downloads/

Wow -- I'm very impressed by the detail that remains even at full size. (And a shot of Xellos with his eyes open is fairly rare.) Nice work!
