Writer's Lament

Hey, Inspiration? You can come back now... anytime... come on...

...Please?

Gaaaaah. I hate it when I desperately want to have written, but desperately don't want to write. I can barely get anywhere near writing mode right now. Part of it's probably that this term is nearly over and I've got a lot of other stuff to do so I have less time to coax ( Read more... )

There have been some times when I have amazing difficulty connecting point A to point B, so my sympathies. Hope your sinuses clear out soon.

Procrastination...one of the most dangerous self-manufacturing drugs to the human race. You WANT to write, you'd LOVE to write, you can't WAIT to write, an' yet you...don't ( ... )

Wow, you're really moving through them quick! I know I pretty much couldn't read anything else if there was a Discworld book yet to be read XD

Even in the midst of my love for the game, I admit: you're right. Pokemon is TOO addictive.

Hi, I'm littlecloudflower/windy, and I got an account!

You read the Tiffany Aching series! Yay you! I got to say, Wintersmith is the most awesome book ever! It's amazing how the beginning is parallel to the end, and it is really heartwarming! :D

I AGREE! I think all day about what I want to write about when I get home from work, then when I finally do get home, I get distracted by my pokemon, then forget about writing. Then when I finally grab my laptop, I start at the page for a few moments, then return to playing my game.

I want to write more, its just, I really want to beat the Elite Four . . . lol XD

Beating the Elite Four is a noble endeavor!

Gah, I guess that's why they call it a process. Most of the work is just in getting yourself focused.

And so the virus spreads...

I'm sure the crisis will pass in no time. We all get days like these, and all that's usually needed here is a short holiday from your texts, so that you'll grow to miss them and start itching to get going with them again. Or maybe watch something creativity-inspiring, or maybe browse for some other fanfiction, art? This usually triggers loads of new ideas for me, sometimes confronting your own ideas with other people's can be awfully stimulating :)

Thanks! I've just gotta remind myself that this isn't forever...

If I could just read for pleasure I think I'd be a lot happier and more inspired. But I'm all tied up in reading things for school...
