I'm still assimilating this news. But here is one thing that occurred to me while I was thinking about Xav the other night. (We're on a no-real-names basis in this public post, right?)
Recently (at least in the past year or so) her life was taken up by her desire to help women in crisis. She's been volunteering (unpaid position, if I understand this properly) at the above-mentioned Women's Crisis Center. Over the last eight months or so she was looking into pursuing an advanced degree in counselling. She was accepted by two area universities, and had considerable trouble deciding between the two programs, which had different strengths and weaknesses. It's characteristic of her that she was leaning toward the program that had more actual practice earlier, because she didn't want to just learn about helping women; she wanted to help women. Then, her center changed her thinking by hinting that they might have a paying position opening up shortly, and that she'd be considered seriously for it. Again characteristically, she chose

I fucking hate this. I want her to come back online and say "haha gotcha!" I really do. You especially have my love right now, Llyr, I know how close you were. This makes me so sad.
I never met JEn in person but have always wanted to. I always knew she was there reading my stuff and vise versa. I cant get to Florida but I will send donations. I also would like to send her family a card. I am so crushed. My deepest deepest condolescences. I dont know what to say. So how can I send something to her family? Also do you know if there will be anything going on in New York?
